The pedestrian bus to the Bohemian Central Highlands runs on weekends from 29 April 2023 to 3 September 2023. Capacity is limited, so you can reserve your seat. You can find the timetable, booking form and other details here.
Take advantage of a special bus line and be taken to the higher altitudes on the right bank of the Elbe, to the village of Mukařov at an altitude of almost 600 metres. Board the cyclobus in Litoměřice and get off in Mukařov about 40 minutes later. From there, you will travel about 11 km along newly marked cycle paths. First, follow the new cycle route No. 3124 to Verneřice and from Verneřice continue along another new cycle route No. 3125. This will lead you to Merboltice, which is a village conservation area and you can see beautiful timbered cottages or a medieval bell tower. Most of this section is downhill, so enjoy the downhill and after a few minutes you are at the Ploučnice River. In Staré Šachov, cross the bridge and join the cycle route No. 15 - Ploučnice cycle path. This leads through Františkov to Benešov nad Ploučnicí, where you can visit the state castle Benešov nad Ploučnicí, which is described as the pearl of the Saxon Renaissance.
From Benešov, continue along the river to Děčín. From Děčín, follow the signs of the Elbe Trail and return to Litoměřice via Velké Březno, Ústí nad Labem and Velké Žernoseky. You will have covered about 80 km :) If you are going on an electric bike, you can use several chargers on the route of the trip, which were created from the project Charging electric bikes.
