The works are grouped according to the period of origin in separate halls - the Gothic hall, the Renaissance hall, the Baroque hall. The significance of Litoměřice in the 16th century and the peak of the collection are evidenced by panel paintings from the altarpiece of Christ's Suffering by the Master of the Litoměřice Altar (around 1510), the most important royal painter of Jagiellonian Bohemia. Exceptional works are the paintings of St. Thomas Aquinas with two angels by Peter Brandl (1704), or a pair of angels from Ustek by M. B. Braun (circa 1720). The permanent exhibition consists of art from the 19th and early 20th centuries. For example, there are works by Josef Mánes, Adolf Kosárek, Václav Brožík and Ludvík Kohl.
In addition to permanent exhibitions, the gallery also focuses on regular exhibition activities. Short-term exhibitions of mostly contemporary Czech art and the ceremonies of professional publications take place here throughout the year.
Adjacent to the building from the back is a park delimited by the Gothic city walls. The park has been modified to its current form by Václav Cigler and is used seasonally for sculptural exhibitions.
