Capuchin monastery
On May 3rd , 1615, the Archbishop of Prague - John III. Lohelius - set the foundation stone for the construction of the Capuchin monastery.
The builders were: the brother P. Daniel Bavarus and the founders of Polyxena and Zdeněk Vojtěch Popel, 1st Prince of Lobkowicz. The monastery church - located in the castle grounds - was sanctified in 1628 and also served as the tomb of the Lobkowicz family. In the years 1717-1720, a convent was built, the builder of which was Jan Křtitel from Vyškov. Due to the construction of the monastery, the Jewish population was moved (a total of 16 houses), which originally stood on this site. The Jews then moved to a street called "Hasa".
